Why this trip
Sun at 1,800 metres, slopes that become hiking trails in summer, and hotels with chalet character: Alpe d'Huez in the Isère offers teams an offsite in the French Alps. The mountains can be used as a stage for activity and retreat. In summer the ski area turns into territory for hiking, mountain biking and road cycling, and the famous road with its hairpin bends suits a team programme with exercise. In the evening a menu at the hotel provides for conversation, and the selection names, for example, Le Castillan, Le Dôme and the Hôtel Chalet Mounier with restaurant and spa.
Those travelling in winter plan skiing and workshop in one schedule, with a clear separation of working time and slopes. The country information names May to June and September to October as the best time for France. Val Thorens, Courchevel, Val d'Isère and Chamonix are neighbours in the region, although the distances between the places are longer than the map suggests. Discuss season and team size in the video call before the quote follows.
