Why this trip
At the far end of Curaçao, where the island narrows and the road slowly empties, Westpunt begins. Here waves crash against rocks, bays lie hidden, and the pace of the island noticeably slows. For couples who seek retreat after the wedding, this is the quieter side of Curaçao. Shete Boka National Park lets the surf thunder into caves, a spectacle for the late afternoon.
Boka Tabla is one of the places where you stand still and listen. In Christoffel National Park paths lead through dry forest to the highest point of the island, best early in the day before the heat rises. Underwater a cave waits that can be explored while snorkelling or diving. As accommodation our selection names the Lagun Blou Resort.
Willemstad, Pietermaai and Jan Thiel lie in the distance, so Westpunt suits a stay without city noise. November to April is the best time. Papiamentu, Dutch and English are spoken. In the video call you decide whether Westpunt alone becomes your base or only one section of your trip.
