Why this trip
At the Gotthard, where passes cross and the landscape turns bare, a team meets without distraction. Andermatt is a small mountain village with character that suits retreats where concentration counts. In summer, hikes lead around the Urseren Valley, and the lifts of Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis open up high-level paths for groups who want to walk together. The Gurschen and the Schneehüenerstock offer views and, in winter, slopes, and a programme can be built so that meeting and exercise alternate.
For accommodation, the selection names, among others, the Hotel Sonne and the La Cruna Hotel-Restaurant, family-run houses for smaller teams. According to the country information, the best months are June to September. From Andermatt, Engelberg, Grindelwald, Lucerne and Laax are within reach if the event needs an excursion. Because the journey works by rail via the Gotthard line, no flight is needed.
Anyone considering Andermatt for a team first talks through purpose and number of participants in the video call, after which the quote follows.
