Why this trip

Davos lies higher than any other town in the Alps, and the air is correspondingly clear. Widely known through the Economic Forum, the place is also a mountain address with sport and culture. Between June and September hiking trails are open, the lakes pleasant, and everyday life slows down. The Parsenn area is known for long descents, the Schatzalp railway leads to an Art Nouveau mountain lodge, and the Rinerhorn railway opens up a quieter area.

Davos Klosters forms the larger frame in which skiers, hikers and bikers find their routes. The Grandhotel Belvédère shows how a historic house welcomes guests with a mountain view. Arosa, St. Moritz, Laax and Andermatt are neighbours that can be linked by rail or with a driver.

Anyone planning in Davos in 2026 should watch for congress days, when rooms become scarce. Discretion has a tradition in this town, and many houses are geared to it. Luxury discusses with you in the video call whether you are looking for calm at altitude or would rather combine culture and sport.
