Why this trip

Between the sea and the Fortezza, Rethymnon has a Venetian old town that can be discovered without a plan. There is also a sandy beach kilometres long, which combines a beach holiday with real island life. On the beach promenade, at the lighthouse of Rethymno and in the town park the day can begin calmly. The Fortezza sits above the town and rewards with a view.

Tavernas in the lanes serve Cretan cuisine, and anyone who looks for a house with service finds the Amira Luxury Resort & Spa in the data. Chania, Santorini, Paros and Naxos are the neighbours that can be linked by flight or ferry. The flight time to Crete is about 2.5 to 3 hours. May and June as well as September and October are considered the best travel period, because sea and air are pleasant.

A hire car with a driver makes excursions into the hinterland easier, where villages and gorges await you. In the video call we discuss how beach, town and landscape should be distributed in your trip, and time for calm is firmly planned.
