Why this trip
Cozumel is famous underwater, thanks to coral gardens that offer an experience even to beginners. For a send-off with divers in the group the island is a clear favourite, because several dive schools offer courses and outings, such as Scuba Life Cozumel or Barefoot Dive Center. Those who do not dive snorkel at the Skyreef Beach Club or spend the afternoon at Mr Sanchos Beach Club, a complex with pools, water park, parasailing and jet skis. In the evening the day on the beach often turns into a sunset aperitif, and the group sits together for a long time.
For everyone who has never dived, the schools offer introductory courses in shallow water, so that the whole group reaches the reef together. By ferry you reach Playa del Carmen on the mainland, from where Akumal, Tulum and Cancun are not far. The best time for Cozumel is November to April. Allow about 12 to 14 hours for the journey, usually with a connection.
How divers and non-divers are spread across the day is something Bachelor Trips sorts out with you in a video call.
