Why this trip
Golf carts instead of cars, white sand and a beach called Playa Norte, where the water is so shallow and blue that you stand in it for ages: Isla Mujeres is small, charming and manageable for groups. During the day everyone hires golf carts together and drives to Punta Sur, the southern tip of the island with a view of the sea. The Garrafon Park offers snorkelling and water activities, and in the Parque de Los Sueños there are slides and zip lines. In the afternoon you sit with music at the Green Demons Beach Club, and dolphins can be visited at Dolphin Discovery.
Because the island is only a few kilometres long, the group hardly gets separated, and even a spontaneous change of plan in the afternoon stays uncomplicated. Cancun is the ferry base, from where a short crossing leads to the island. Holbox, Cozumel and Playa del Carmen are close as further destinations. The best time is November to April.
For the journey allow 12 to 14 hours, usually with a connection. Bachelor Trips agrees length of stay and programme with you in a video call.
