Why this trip
On Holbox there are no cars, the streets are made of sand, and golf carts roll at walking pace. For a send-off meant to switch off all everyday noise, that is a convincing argument. During the day the group lies on the beach at Punta Cocos or travels to Punta Mosquito, where flamingos stand in the shallows. Depending on the season, an excursion to whale sharks is possible.
In the evening the programme begins with a sunset at the Soulbox Rooftop and continues at the beach club Agua de Coco. At night the water sometimes glows with bioluminescence, and a swim in the dark becomes a memory. Holbox lies north of Cancun and is reached by ferry, with Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen and Akumal as neighbours. The best time is November to April.
The journey takes 12 to 14 hours, usually with a connection. Plan the crossing with some spare time. Bachelor Trips designs the schedule with you in a video call.
