Why this trip
Ski boots do not necessarily belong in the luggage here: anyone visiting Mayrhofen from May to October finds in the Zillertal a programme that challenges a lads' group or a hen party equally. The cable cars, such as the Penkenbahn and the Ahornbahn, take the group from the village to the heights in a few minutes, where hikes, a summit snack and views await. The place is famous for the Harakiri, the steepest groomed slope in Austria. The name alone creates talk at the group table in winter, and in summer it becomes a bet on who manages the ascent first.
In the evening the village stays manageable, an advantage: everyone is on foot, nobody loses touch. For accommodation, the Hotel Neue Post and the Alpenhotel Kramerwirt stand out with good reviews. For the day of arrival, a look at Innsbruck is worthwhile if a stopover fits. For the programme Bachelor Trips helps with a video call, in which it is clarified how much activity there should be during the day and how much rest the group wants before the evening.
