Why this trip
Ten minutes on foot are enough in Saalbach to get from the village street to the cable car and from the cable car onto the mountain. The heart of the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is therefore a place where a group experiences a lot without organising much. In winter the Schattberg X-press, Kohlmaisbahn and Zwölferkogelbahn are at the centre of the piste network, where beginners and advanced skiers can lose themselves at the same pace. After May the place changes: then the mountain shows its hiking side, and the Weißsee Gletscherwelt forms a destination for summit photos and hiking routes.
In the evening après-ski provides the switch from activity to the group table. According to country information, the months May to October count as the best time for summer. Hotels such as the Saalbacher Hof or the eva, VILLAGE Hotel provide beds within reach of the village centre. Kitzbühel, Salzburg and Mayrhofen lie as the nearest places.
In a video call Bachelor Trips discusses whether the group wants ski, mountain or both, and plans a weekend with a clear schedule from that.
