Why this trip
The Red Sea is the counterpoint to the desert: in Aqaba, Jordan's only coastal city, coral reefs lie just a few metres from the beach. If you have days in Petra or Wadi Rum behind you, you find recovery here that still remains activity, because snorkelling and diving demand breath and calm at once.
