Why this trip
Sundowner at seven, group photo at eight, then the white lanes: among the Cyclades, Mykonos is regarded as the island for evenings that carry on long. For a stag party the programme is clearly set, and it can still be adapted, depending on whether the group wants more beach or more nightlife. By day the windmills of Mykonos and the Panorama Windmill are worthwhile, opening up the view over the old town. If you want to be by the water, drive to Agios Sostis Beach, which lies quieter than the beaches in the south and suits a shared afternoon.
For accommodation, the Mykonos Princess Hotel and the Nimbus Mykonos offer two points of contact with good reviews. The best time lies in the months May to June and September to October, when sun and water are right. The flight from Switzerland takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, and entry is visa-free (Schengen). If you want to combine the island with a second stop, you will find Naxos or Paros within ferry reach.
