Why this trip
Less show, more substance: Naxos attracts those groups who want to celebrate the send-off not in a crowd but among themselves. The island is large enough for beach days and excursions, and the capital Chora small enough that nobody gets lost in the evening. At the centre is the Portara, the marble gate at the harbour, which becomes the island's meeting point at sunset and provides a strong kick-off for the group evening. Behind it run the lanes of the old town, such as Piso Paraporti, where tavernas and bars lie close together.
By day the Venetian Museum Della Rocca-Barozzi and the Archaeological Museum open the view onto history, if the group wants some calm in between. According to country information, May to June and September to October give the best mix of warmth and free streets. The journey from Switzerland takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, and entry is visa-free (Schengen). Paros, Mykonos and Santorini lie as the nearest islands in the surroundings.
Bachelor Trips plans ferry routes and accommodation in a video call, so that the group arrives together and drops anchor together.
